That day then,
I thought the treasure in life,
Life just an orderly event,
Being around in wait,
Asking what is mine,
Misfortune around my dreams,
Life a noble gift,
Hours of pleasure to treasure,
Round my empty trips,
All my lack lay bare,
Life gave me little meaning,
Golden hours up in smoke,
A banquet of fears and tears,
The faithful gain of misery,
In a crumbling own world,
Ruled by hunger and danger,
And violence of a gentle wind,
The injustice of sharp sun rays,
The wrath of seasons and lessons,
All real about the feel,
The buried days and the distant future!
Dreams still unborn,
My heart must love the truth,
A sense in today’s promise,
Yesterday is far away,
And tomorrow another promise.
