That night I had miles to run,
A pack of memories to carry,
Missing the peace of night,
I engaged my gears over the soft pillow,
Rough to my own soul;
My past mistakes tormented me,
Enough files of failure,
A few stops along the highway,
Picking a lost jewel,
The clock went on and on,
In my time of triumph,
I became the hero,
I met my friends and lovers.
Up and down I searched for happiness,
In love with hollow thoughts,
A lie that money is strength,
The vanity in this world,
I was stored in drains of fantasy,
Everything good was mine.
I lost the chance in the golden hour,
I should have taken the order of night,
I was defeated in the shadow of life,
When the morning started to knock,
I mourned the loss of precious hours,
There was no time to shut and rest,
My load of burdens still alive,
I should have slept all night.
